NEET UG 2026 rescheduled to June 21

Re-exam dates for more than 2.2 million medical aspirants announced

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday confirmed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Graduate (NEET-UG) 2026 will be re-examined on Sunday, June 21.

Decision taken with approval from the Government

Clean test dates are distributed through the National Testing Agency's authentic X-handle. In a statement, the agency explained that the decision to resume NEET-UG 2026 on June 21 is dependent on the approval of the Indian government. "The Board of Examinations” is scheduled to conduct the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, June 21, 2026," the agency said.

Clarity after days of uncertainty

The cancellation of the May 3 exam, which was officially announced on May 12, left lakhs of candidates waiting for studies in the revised agenda, access to card games and subsequent admission patterns. The rescheduling now gives aspirants a solid timeline to resume preparations.

Candidates are advised to follow the official updates

The NTA also issued an advisory to candidates and parents, urging them to rely entirely on legitimate media for true and up-to-date information regarding the examination. The warning aims to prevent confusion caused by unconfirmed reports circulating on social media.
