Maharashtra Rozgar Mahakumbh 2026: 1,000 Job Fairs and Thousands of Job Opportunities
Looking for a job in Maharashtra?
September 29 could be an important date for you.
The Maharashtra government is organizing
a large Rozgar Mahakumbh on “September 29, 2026”, with job fairs planned at
around “1,000 locations across the state”. The event is expected to bring a
large number of companies and job seekers together at the same time.
So far, “1,588 companies have
confirmed their participation”, with more than “71,939 job opportunities”
reported. The number of participating companies could go up further before the
event.
For students, freshers and
people looking for a new job, this could be a chance to meet recruiters
directly instead of applying to companies one by one.
Tata, Mahindra and Other Companies to Participate
Some familiar names are among the companies associated with the recruitment drive. These include:
Tata
Motors,
Mahindra & Mahindra,
Godrej,
LIC,
HDFC,
ICICI,
Axis Bank,
Bajaj Finance,
Maruti Suzuki,
Bosch,
Asian Paints,
JSW Steel and UltraTech Cement”.
The jobs are not limited to a
single field. Recruitment opportunities are expected in areas such as
manufacturing, automobiles, banking, finance, IT, healthcare, education and
logistics.
There are also technical jobs
for candidates with skills in areas such as fitting, electrical work, mechanics
and machine operation.
Who Can Attend the Job Fair?
The Rozgar Mahakumbh is not only for engineering graduates.
Depending on the job, candidates
with qualifications ranging from “Class 10 and Class 12 to ITI, diploma,
graduation and engineering degrees” can find suitable opportunities.
Some of the job roles mentioned include:
* Technician
* Machine Operator
* Fitter
* Electrician
* Mechanic
* Other technical and non-technical positions
The stated age limit is “18 to 35 years”.
One thing candidates should keep in mind is that every company can have its own requirements. So, meeting the general eligibility criteria does not necessarily mean that a candidate will qualify for every job.
Candidates Will Also Get Preparation Training
There is another part of the programme that may be useful, especially for freshers.
Registered candidates are expected to receive “seven days of preparation training” before the job fair. The training is planned around areas such as interview skills, communication, resume writing and personality development.
Some short-term skill training may also be provided according to industry requirements.
For someone attending their first job interview, even basic preparation can make the experience less confusing.
How to Register?
1. Registration for the Rozgar Mahakumbh is “free and mandatory”.
2. Candidates can register online using the official registration facility or the QR code provided for the event.
3. If you are planning to attend, it is better not to wait for September 29. 4. Complete the registration early and check the details of your allotted venue and the companies you may want to approach.
What Should You Carry?
Don't go to a job fair with just your phone and one resume.
Candidates should keep several copies of their resume ready. It is also useful to carry photocopies of educational certificates and other relevant documents.
You can keep:
* 5–6 copies of your resume
* Educational mark sheets and certificates
* ITI or diploma certificates, if applicable
* Experience certificates, if you have any
* Identity proof
* Other documents mentioned during registration
Reaching the venue early would also be a good idea, considering the number of candidates expected to attend.
Why Is the Government Organizing It?
Getting a degree is one thing, but finding a suitable job after graduation can be a different challenge.
The idea behind a large recruitment event like this is to bring companies and job seekers together at the same place. It can save candidates the effort of searching for every opportunity separately and gives employers a chance to meet a larger pool of applicants.
Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil has also spoken about the need to focus on employability along with education.
What Should You Do Before September 29?
If you are planning to attend, start preparing now.
Update your resume, arrange your certificates and check which companies and job roles match your qualification. If preparation training is available after registration, make use of it.
And most importantly, check the “official event information before travelling”, because venue and company-specific details may vary.
