UPSC Civil Services Prelims Admit Card 2026 Released

The Union Public Service Commission has issued hall tickets for the Preliminary Examination scheduled for May 24; candidates must verify details and carry valid ID to test centres across the country.

 New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for the Civil Services (CSE) Preliminary Examination 2026 today, May 15. All registered candidates can now download their call letters from the official website, upsc.gov.in. This year, the Commission will conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination on May 24 at various centres across the country. The exam will be objective-type and held in two sessions Forenoon and Afternoon.

How to Download UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to access their hall tickets:

  1. Visit the official website, upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the notification link that reads, 'CSE Prelims admit card 2026'
  3. It will redirect you to the admit card download link
  4. Now, click on it and proceed
  5. Read all instructions and proceed
  6. There will be two options to download UPSC CSE prelims admit card.i.e. by registration id or by roll number
  7. Now, enter your registration id/roll number, date of birth, captcha code and click on 'submit'
  8. CSE Prelims admit card 2026 will appear on the screen
  9. Download CSE Prelims admit card 2026 and save it for future reference

 Key Instructions for Candidates

The Commission has issued the following important guidelines for all aspirants:

  • Verify Details: Cross-check all details printed on the admit card. If any discrepancy is found, contact UPSC immediately.
  • Mandatory Documents: Candidates must bring the printed admit card along with a valid photo identity card on the day of the examination.
  • Reporting Time: Reach the exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. Entry gates will be closed 30 minutes before the exam begins.
  • Frisking: Enter the venue well in time to complete the mandatory frisking process.
  • Exam Venue: Candidates will not be permitted to appear at any examination venue other than the one mentioned in the e-Admit Card.
  • Provisional Candidature: Candidature for the examination is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions.
  • Pen Usage: Answers marked with any pen other than a Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
  • Belongings: Do not bring any valuables, costly items, or bags to the examination venue. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss or safekeeping of such items.

  • Centre Visit: All candidates are advised to visit and confirm their exam centre location at least one day prior to the examination
